For the Start of the New Year
I found my New Year's resolution(s) in a most unlikely way. I found it while reading the blog Crap I've Made, of all things. It's positive, it's simple to remember, and it's simple to act on. So, I will.
Let us return to our homes with resolution in our hearts to do a little better than we have done in the past. We can all be a little kinder, a little more generous, a little more thoughtful of one another. We can be a little more tolerant and friendly…It is our obligation to reach out in helpfulness, not only to our own but to all others as well.
- Gordon B. Hinckley
I invite everyone to give it a try.
Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
The Kelly Christmas tree, and a close up of some of the ornaments.
This year, our tree was actually a little more narrow than usual, but that made it easier to decorate. And even though I didn't end up using all my ornaments, it is still a very pretty tree. Every year I (think I) have the prettiest tree, even with its imperfections, sections that are missing lights and lopsidedness. I love Christmas!
